Ramada and mı deliver multi level excellence
A $65 million international resort set on a Greg Norman-designed golf course has been awarded the Master Builders Regional Project of the Year at the 2006 Sunshine Coast Master Builders Housing and Construction Awards held on Friday 28 July.
The resort, Ramada Pelican Waters was also winner of the Tourism and Hospitality Facilities over $20 million category with Reed Construction (Qld) also taking the top gong in the Residential Buildings (High Rise over 3 storeys) $10 million - $50 million for m1 in Maroochydore.
Director of Reed Construction (Qld), Mr Steve Cole, said the regional award win together with last year’s award for Chancellors Tavern in the Tourism and Hospitality Facilities $2million - $10million category, encapsulated Reed’s skill and capacity for quality tourism and hospitality developments in its property market foresight.
The spectacular international resort at Caloundra is now part of Reed’s $1 billion worth of residential, commercial and lifestyle-based property projects currently in the pipeline across Queensland ,” Mr Cole said.
Ramada Pelican Waters resort encapsulates real resort living with dual key hotel suites and residential apartments all housed within the twelve-storey complex.
The project really impressed us by its vision and scope,” Sunshine Coast MBA Regional Manager Steve Robinson said on behalf of the judges.
"It’s a brilliant concept for the area with a 12 storey resort housing a magnificent range of luxurious apartments all with sweeping views over the Coast and Glass House Mountains. It has that perfect blend of lifestyle, with a golf course at the doorstep as well as swimming pools, spas, tennis courts, restaurants, bars, health clubs and many other luxury facilities.”
"Reed Construction (Qld)’s other award winning project, m1 in Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore is an iconic twelve-storey building and has been promoted as offering architecture with adrenalin; winning the Residential Buildings (High Rise over three storeys) $10 million - $50 million category. Reed’s m1 is a multi-level, mixed use structure providing Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with a beachside interpretation of urban living."
Mr Cole said the powerful combination of visionary urban planning, rigorous market research and sophisticated and upbeat design and construction fused together to create the winning formula for m¹, which has captivated buyers and investors from around the nation.
