Reed Construction (Qld) Builds its Brand

For the last 20 years, the construction division of Reed Property Group has marketed itself as Reed Construction (Qld) and this month, it launched its long awaited and new brand, ‘RCQ – Built for Life’.

RCQ is expanding locally, regionally and nationally and it is now considered one of the Sunshine Coast’s largest construction companies, handling more than $150 million worth of projects annually for a number of the state’s most respected developers.

Director of Construction, Steve Cole said that after trading for 20 years as Reed Construction (Qld), the decision to change the name was not taken lightly.

“My Senior Management team have endured many discussions across the board room table evaluating what impact the name change would have on our "brand”,” Mr Cole said.

“As we grow, it’s important that RCQ shines in a competitive market.”

“The revitalised RCQ brand will help to distinguish us from competitors, as well as distance us from similar sounding companies such as: Reed Construction Australia, Reed Construction Data and Reid Construction,” Mr Cole said.

RCQ has an estimated $280 million of future work in the pipeline, with projects currently underway in Caloundra, Maroochydore, Noosa, Rainbow Beach, Mackay and Townsville.

“With future growth in mind, its important that the new brand reflects our unique point of difference being our family values philosophy which in turn adds the human dimension to the property life cycle, hence our by-line ‘Built for Life’,” Mr Cole said.

“‘Built for Life’ also stands for our increasing focus on sustainability as a company and the importance of ensuring that everything we do is in line with best practice sustainability principles – environmentally, socially and economically.”
