Award winning RCQ to build rare coastal residential opportunity

Master Builder’s Project of the Year award winner, RCQ have been appointed by project managers Ritchie Property Solutions to construct a rare, Sunshine Coast residential development that represents an outstanding opportunity for first home buyers.

Tanna Villas is a new release of 15 two bedroom villas to be constructed in a contemporary complex within the successful Stockland Estate of Bellvista in Caloundra, with construction scheduled to commence at the end of September.

Director and CEO of RCQ, Steve Cole said the company’s origins came from this form of single storey, integrated community development over 20 years ago.

“Since then we have demonstrated our versatility for a broad range of projects with the successful delivery of luxury, high rise apartments, four-and-half-star resorts and hotels, on-campus university accommodation and commercial showrooms and we look forward to bringing our experience and skills to the Tanna Villa project,” Mr Cole said.

“RCQ has a strong association with the Sunshine Coast and we are excited by the opportunity to expand our portfolio with a rare, residential development that represents one of the few opportunities to invest in Sunshine Coast property at an affordable price.”

Lead Sales Agent for Colliers International, Lesley Ritchie said the decision to engage RCQ to deliver Tanna Villas was a simple one given their highly regarded and award-winning reputation on the Sunshine Coast and across Queensland.

“RCQ are renowned for their attention to detail and superior craftsmanship and we are just thrilled to have them on board to deliver a quality product for Tanna Villas,” Mrs Ritchie said.

“This development will appeal to a mixture of age groups from first home buyers and investors to retirees looking to scale back and downsize, and with the RCQ team on board, buyers will receive a high quality constructed home for a very affordable price.”

Mrs Ritchie said the Sunshine Coast continues to defy national property market trends with affordable and family friendly living solutions still in hot demand across the region.

“Sales figures for the Sunshine Coast over the June quarter show an increase of around 17 per cent and with the First Home Owners Grant winding down after October and due to end by December this year, now more than ever is the time to grab the rare, affordable residential opportunities in the market while you still can.”

Tanna Villas will offer single storey, two bedroom villas that have been thoughtfully designed to ensure natural light, good ventilation and clean, modern living with all the conveniences including ensuite, lock up garage, open plan kitchen and living areas, covered outdoor patio and enclosed private gardens.

The development will join the ever-expanding list of award winning projects from RCQ, including the recently awarded Master Builder’s Project of the Year 2009 for The Plantation at Rainbow Beach, the Outdoor Living & Landscaping Award for Riverlight, Settlers Cove, the Residential Building (high rise over three storeys) $15m - $60m category for Riverlight and the Tourism and Hospitality Facilities Award for The Plantation.

RCQ has an office in Townsville and the Sunshine Coast and handles an expanding portfolio of projects for a number of Queensland’s most respected developers.

RCQ has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including the $200M Emporio project in the Maroochydore CBD.
