On completion, the building was the largest project undertaken in the rural regional centre of Dalby on Queensland ’s Darling Downs.
Anchored by a Woolworths Supermarket, with 15 specialty tenants, the design of the centre needed to address the recurrent flood levels. A suspended slab with significant supporting pile design was identified in the earlier planning stages as being the most appropriate form of structure.
Through adopting this design, the particular requirements of the supermarkets refrigeration and drainage services had to be rigorously reviewed and incorporated. Again tenancy fitouts were completed for such tenants as The Warehouse Group, Millers Fashion and Medicare.
