Linear’s construction was a significant milestone for RCQ, being the first ever project for an external client. RCQ competed against two other construction companies to successfully secure this project.
Whilst maintaining a lump sum form of delivery, the project team was able to offer the client opportunities for savings, both in time and cost following an internal value engineering workshop.
Practical completion was achieved three months prior to the contract date, allowing the client the opportunity to secure early settlements on the residential apartments.
Major engineering changes such as appointing a second engineer and the use of precast walls helped achieve the less than 12 month construction program.
